A Little Q & A
over at Tollipop. Here are my answers:
1. the ability to speak ten languages of my choice would go nicely with no. 5.
2. the ability to render my surroundings utterly clean. I like to play around in the kitchen, not so big on the cleaning thing. I get sidetracked too easily.
3. underwater breathing. although, if I we could change the seeing for miles into the ability to see where your children are for miles it would be the hands down winner.
4. Would you like to be able to throw a killer, missile-guided pass with the football or be a fearless, no-splash, champion diver? Hmm... that's a tough one. Does looking great in a bathing suit go with the diving? [wink]
5. Oh, to be able to wander the world. Although, if I could time travel would I also be able to wander the world? Maybe I want to change this to time travel. I could go and come back like I was never gone. Nice.
6. I'll keep this one relatively simple. I would love to just spend the day with my husband.
7. I would want to be a visitor of the Sermon on the Mount.

This Just Happens
to be exactly what I need right now. It's at the top of my wish list. If I'm staring at it everyday do you think it will help? They keep popping up. Calling me. Taunting me.
Where, oh where, to find one? Finally I was given directions. And not just directions, but background too and the copywrite is expired. Now I know that if I'm so inclined, since I'm feeling especially empty in the pocket book at the moment, I can just make one up myself. Now to decide if it's worth the time. Yes or No? I've got a list of things to get done before the new little gets here in... oh, I think it's about 16'ish weeks or so now. It's quite long. The list I mean.
I got my floor mopped so I decided to take the time to play with the poster. What do you think? Is it too crowded? Do I need to make the font smaller/look for a different font? What about the the aged vs. plain edges? The bigger crown or smaller [it's a little bigger in the coral one] What about color? That's where I'm going to get hung up. I just like too many. Too many. If you'd like one, let me know. I have connections.

#2 [cheap thrills]
Today I picked up a few things I hope to finish soon so I can share them as cheap thrills because I am very much excited about them. I only ended up making it to the D.I. the girl isn't the greatest shopper in the world. Oh well. I did find a few things to work on...
As I was grocery shopping the other day [something I never do anymore by the way... it is *B's* assignment now] I got a little lost + overwhelmed in the store and ended up wandering the aisles thinking, "am I missing something?" I felt like I had to see everything to make sure I got what we needed. While I was picking up some Chow Mein [I know... gross! It is a cheap + easy meal and we keep it on hand] I noticed the fortune cookies there. I have been trying to make things more special and, honestly, what needs to be spiffed up more than Chow Mein?

We ate it Thursday night and the boys loved that the cookies had fortunes. At first they didn't quite get it, but later *I* started asking more questions and now he his waiting [not so patiently] for this to happen: "happy news is on it's way to you." He asked yesterday morning, "any happy news for me?" and again this afternoon when they got home, ""any happy news yet?" I keep giving him happy news, but it's not what he's looking for. I'm not sure what he expects...
*B's* rough times are behind him.
*A* has many unexpected and thrilling surprises in store for him.
and I will be called in to fulfill a position of high honour and responsibility [oh yay. I'm really looking forward to finding out what that one could be...].
So, I've always known that I love fortune cookies. I get a huge kick out of them and when *B* stuck my engagement ring inside of one that said [and he promises he didn't even look at the fortune... it just happened to be the one that didn't break apart when he wedged the ring in]: "you and your spouse will be very happy together." It just tied my infatuation up into a neat little package.
Yeah, I like fortune cookies + now my kids do too.

Keeping My Promise...
Just a couple of photos I took as part of a class by Kara... counting my blessings (not including people... yet). I just took a walk around my house and took pictures of what ever caught my eye. Things I've been taking note of lately.
This one cracks me up... *I* has some troubles actually lifting the seat and peeing into the toilet. It makes me angry. When I see this star I am happy because the lid was lifted and I like to think that he stuck it there to give himself a little pat on the back for remembering. I am not a woman who gets upset for the toilet seat being left up. Better that than a wet bottom!

I love new projects. I love things to make + do. I'm working on my life story. I'm getting my hands dirty and thinking about things I love/people I love. It's been fun. I'll share more when I have more.
One night while *B* read the BofM to the boys I doodled "I love you" in a notebook with the crayons dotting their floor. The next morning *I* brought a note to me and stuck it on my wall...

There are more. I've got them on my flickr.
Enjoy the journey!

I Know You Deserve More...

But I just had to let you know... you can enter a contest to win these super cute baby legs. HERE.
The photo is lifted from the blog of this very talented woman... I hope she doesn't mind (and I hope she'll come and be a part of the collaborative project)! Check out her blog. It's super cool. I think I should really dress this blog up more. It would certainly be more fun! So... go to it.
Did I mention
that you can win 20 pairs?
Yes. that's Twenty pairs!

I Want to Meet Amy.
Last fall I introduced Amy Krouse Rosenthal to my friends. I shared one of my all time favorite books "Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life" with my book club. I also shared a really great quote with you from this article: Heck, Yeah, I want a Medal. Now I want to share this video... "17 things I made" and this one... as she made the 18th. I think it's kind of fun and I think I still really want to meet Amy.

Testing...
So, I've been doing a little playing while *B* is at class. I'm trying to decide how to get the results I'm looking for in my saving/storing of information that I think is fun in one way or another. This is what I did tonight. This is a test. This is only a test. What do you think?

Notice that I used the Shimelle prompt from a couple of posts ago. 9+1 (nine things you love + one you hate). I also just used a picture I already had while keeping in mind that I would have to list nine things I loved about the subject. Anyway... let me know!

This is Too Cool.
I've been doing 20 min. surfing sessions. Trying to keep myself from getting lost... look at how cool this is. I think I will get some one of these days. Wouldn't they make a cool mini-album type thing? And you wouldn't even have to do much...
They're called moo MiniCards. There are 100 cards (approx. buisness card sized) in a box and each card can have a different photo and you can write something different on the back of each one. I think they're awesome! Maybe I should be better at taking my 365 photos. I'm not doing it self portrait any more. Nice that I just want the stinking cards!
Enjoy the Journey!

I Love...
I love it that I've got such great people around me. I've had chicken soup brought to me for lunch the last two days. How cool is that! I've never had anyone bring me something when I'm sick. People ask occasionally, but they never call up and say, "Have you eaten yet? I've got chicken soup for you. Can I bring it by?"
I love a good book. I may have mentioned that I started reading The Kingdom and the Crown series again. I read the first one, Fishers of Men, and then went to get the next one from the library but it was out. I've had to request it. While waiting I've been reading The Peacegiver again. These are all repeat reads, but totally worth it. They are excellent books.
I love hula seventy's pictures. She finished her 365 photo project. Hers was in conjunction with her 36th birthday to-do list. She did a photo a day... not necessarily self-portraits. I love the colors and the perspectives. They just make me happy to look at. I need to take a photography class. How does she get her colors to pop like that?
I love it when *A* says, "okey dokey artichokey"
I love the inspiration I find on the world.wide.web... I am making a tiny-art painting on a recycled thank you card. I'll post it tomorrow. It was inspired by Kal Barteski. I think she's way fun and I also love her triple-arm pumps.
Enjoy the Journey!
